Before we
started our way back home we still had some time to visit the castel and
the town museum in Strakonice. We enjoyed the exhibition very much. It
was not only interesting but also quite entertaining. Then we took a
last foto together and took off on hour way back home.

Our last day on the river! All of us enjoyed the last part of our
trip toStrakonice. Some of us somehow forgot to protect themselves
against the hot sun and turned out pretty sunburned when we finally
reached the camp. After a short lunch break and swimming in the river
for a last time we went into town for a walk. We had a look at the towns
center, appreciated the work of the local graffity artists and still had
some time left to spend on the playground on our way back to the camp.
In the evening we sat around the fire for one last time and because we
were all very tired went to bed early.

In the morning we decided to stay in Střelske Hoštice for another
day. This time we went down the river a little further and then took the
raft back to Střelske Hoštice by car. Todays part of our tour was really
beautifull and nice. Because it was once again very hot we had to cool
ourselves every once in a while. We found out that our friend the pštros
whom we fed last year did not any longer exist. Maybe someone ate him
and decided to have sheep instead. Because it was sooo hot all of us
decided to leave the captain behind on his ship and swim the last 400
metres. Just when we arrived the sky turned dark and a wind started to
blow. Quickly we loaded the raft onto the hanger and took of for the bus
station. When we got there it started raining. However, we did not
really care much. Instead we sang "Prší, do rakve mi štěrbinou
zatéká..." And waiting for the bus to arrive we made up a new
game. We waved to every car that was passing us and counted how many of
the drivers would wave back. We finally counted until 206!!! What a
sensational result! Once again we spent the evening playing card games
and throwing dice at our camp.

Because we liked Střelske Hoštice so much we decided to stay there
for one more day. After breakfast we put our raft onto the hanger. We
then took the bus back to Horažďovice where Jarda was already waiting
with the car and our raft. And then we went down the beautiful
part of the Otava which we had already seen the day before. This time we
had a fight with sea grass... until we discovered that sea grass
actually made a nice hairdo. This time we took all the weirs nice and
safely. None of us had to take a bath involuntarily. But because it was
so hot we still spent quite a lot of time swimming and cooling ourselves. At
the camp Blanka had already prepared lunch for us. After lunch we went
swimming again. We actually spent half the day in the water and we also
found out that there was a little space under the weir where we could
really almost comfortably sit for a while. In the evening we played cards
and threw dice. Finally we ended our day once again sitting around our
little fire and talking.

Today we had another hot, tropical day full of swimming
and fun action in wild waters. Right after getting it was already such a
hot morning that we had to cool ourselves in the river even before
breakfast. When we finally took of with the raft we were all very
excited. Because there was still enough water we were again able to go
down all of the weirs. Some of them even more than once!Right after the
second weir there was a nice little beach. Of course we had to take this
chance and stay there for a little while. Some of us started building
sand castles, others took a closer look at the weir and bathed and there
was also again enough time for some sunbathing. The next weir was awesome...
fast and wild. After we had gone down for a first time we had so much
fun that all of us wanted to try it again. To have it even more exciting
we went down backwards! Jarda said that we would all take a bath...
and that is what happened! All of us were thrown into the water the raft
was topped over and paddels were flewing everywhere. However we somehow
managed to catch all paddles, the raft and we even rescued Ronny a few
hundred meters down the river. When we finally reached our next camp we
had lunch and then Jara cooked slime again. This time kids from all over
the camp took part in our slime fight and the whole camp was watching.
Because it was so much fun today we even had a second portion of slimy
slime.

When we woke up this morning the sun was shining nicely.
After a quick breakfast we prepared our raft and took off. The flow of
water was quite strong and therefore we made our way to the next camp
rather fast.We went down every weir at least twice and it was great fun
for everyone. In between there was still enough time for sunbathing and
relaxing it still took us only two hours until we arrived at our next
camp in Horažďovice. After a small lunch we went to have a look at the
town and to spend some of our money. Later we played different games and
again sat around our fire. Poor Jara had to tell us stories about his
work and we almost could not bet enough of it until it was time to
finally get some sleep.

Even though it had been raining the whole night, the
sun came out for breakfast in the morning. That was great. Finally a
chance for sunbathing! Because it was a little too hot after a little
while we decided to cook some slime and have a real slime fight. While
the slime was still hot, we played around with water balloons in the
meantime. This already helped us to cool down a little. However, the
slime was even greater fun. It was blue, well... and very slimy. After
throwing slime at each other we also had a large plastic tarp. It was
great for gliding. After we had used up all of our slime we went to take
a bath in the river to get rid of the slime. The water was ice-cold, but
we almolst did not care.... almost. In the afternoon we went to take a
look at the castle Rabí. We had a guided tour which took about one and a
half hour and during which we learned many interesting facts. For
example what people in the middle ages used to use as toilet paper.
After the tour it started raining again and therfore we strolled around
the lokal souvenir shops and ended up in a restaurant. Luckily the rain
gave us a brake in which we returned to the camp and could again sit
around our little fire. It did not start raining again until we all lay
in our sleeping bags.

Even though it was starting to rain, everyone was quite excited when we
all met at Zvonice to put all of our belongings in the car, which Blanka
drove directly to our first camp. Quickly we said good bye to our
parents and friends and took off to the train station in český Brod.Waiting
for the train to arrive we already devided up the diferent roles on our
raft. Obviously Jara was to be the captain. Then we took the train
to Prague, where we went by metro to the autobus station Anděl.After a
short brake when we had to wait for the bus to arrive we continued our
travel. After two hours we finally reached čepice where Blanka already
awaited us at the camp. We hurried to put up our tents and right about
when we where finished it started raining again.... and it rained... and
rained... however, later it stopped raining so that we could still sit
around our fire on our first evening together.Because of all the rain we
decided to stay at the camp for the next day and have a look at the near
by castle Rabí.
